Day 155/365 The Where's Waldo Scrapbook Giveaway

Nothing exciting for yesterday's photo. That is, unless you derive joy from the shock of seeing the pig styes other people live in. You know that email that circulates showing photos of a house with piles of cigarette butts everywhere, including the top of the computer, and the bedroom with so many fast food packages that you don't even notice there's a bed in the room? Well this is the scrapbooker's version of that. Come on. You know your area's looked like this a time or two!june 4

When I'm trying to work in here, it's like Where's Waldo meets the scrapbook world. Can't find what I'm looking for but manage to find 100 things irrelevant to what I'm working on!

give away
Part of cleaning up my room yesterday was to gather all the excess product I know I can't possibly use on my own. I've been so fortunate to work with some companies that are EXTREMELY generous with their product and this is a sampling of what I've been sent. Lots of Love, Elsie, some KI, scads of Chatterbox, some Fiskars. And I want to share my stash!!!

This photo is not the actual give away but just an idea of some of the things that might be in your package if you win. So leave me a comment and I'll draw 4 names next Wednesday.

I would LOVE it if your comment included some suggestions or links for your favorite scrapbook products (Etsy sellers, too!) right now. It's been so long since I scrapbooked or shopped for scrapbook goodies that when I go looking, I get overwhelmed with all that's out there. Suggestions aren't necessary (I know some of you don't scrapbook) but I'd sure love to have a little help in my search if you have anything to offer.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

What the?????? So let me get this straight... you need to get rid of junk so you can go out & buy more junk?

Well, let me be a friend & help you out. Hmmm... let me see... can I just pick & choose from your garbage pile? Ok then... I'll take those gorgeous green & pink doo-dads, the ledger paper stars, the KI softies, all of your clear stamps, & any duplicate Fiskar tools that are weighing you down. ;) lol.
Have fun thinning out your stash! :)

You're playing Where's Waldo with my stash!!! LOL! These are all duplicates. I'll never use 3 packs of most of this stuff. So I'm sharing!

Yeah, I am & you've made it rather difficult. Can you please move that hot pink frame in the lower left corner out of the way, so I can see what's underneath?
;P

My scrapbook space is looking this exact same way right now...so we can commiserate together. Although I would never say that I had as much "stuff" as you do. I'm a part time scrapper, and certainly don't get the freebies...but I'd love some from you. And of course, help you lighten your load and mess mine up some more. Thanks for thinking of your committed bloggers. Share and share alike I say. Have a great weekend!!!

i did not know that so many punches existed! i'm a horrible shopper: seek and find, if it's not on the list i don't look for it. hence i miss many cool crafting things! and i am no help with suggestions to you...

candice said...

I'm thinkin' I'm just as clueless as you are right now with what's new and fun in the scrapbook world....but I'd love to lighten your load of "excess" junk. ;)

well, I don't shop on-line. It's sad, really, since I don't have a store either! I've been having a good time with hybrid pages and using older supplies.

Melanie said...

I found your blog about six months ago by accident. I absolutely love it and I look forward to reading it everyday. Oh yeah by the way I would love some free scrapbooking supplies lol

I'm in the same boat; I haven't been able to sit down and scrap as much as I'd like to lately, but I've loved some of the new papers out lately!

I usually try to get my unique goods (trims, postcards, etc) at an awesome little antique store we have near us called Black Market Antiques...otherwise I love the Cocoa Daisy kits, Tricia always provides some vintage goodies in with the new stuff! =)

I can really to the need to purge problem! I've started to try to pull out more things that I know I won't use or have dupes of and give to my daughter (who loves to craft), my sisters I got hooked on scrapping or save the really good stuff for fundraisers and silent auctions. I've notice that www.pebblesinc.com has some cute products coming out. I've never shopped etsy, so I can't help you there!

Wow is what comes to my mind...all the punches....oh....stamps are a weakness I have.... You know me...I'm the pest that calls or e-mails you all the time to help at the concession stands....I am going to try to not even think of concessions over the summer and catch up on some scrapping!!! Enjoy your clean out.....but....If I win....that doesn't mean you get out of working concessions next year...sorry!!! LOL!!!!

I can't say no to free stuff. Or even the possibility of free stuff. Especially when it's scrap stuff. :)

My fave place for scrap supplies as of late is Studio Calico. Yes, it's a kit club, but you don't HAVE to subscribe in order to buy a kit. And these girls put together some BEAUTIFUL kits. I'm just sayin'. :)

Now, perhaps as a mother of boys, and when I say boys - I mean real boys. Boys who do boy things. As in outside and things that can get them hurt kind of boy things. Well anyway, while our house is being built, we opted to live with my mother and father in law, and coincedentally it was at this time I decided to take up drinking and smoking heavily. So, my in-laws, who are originally from the midwest have this monster garden, and as the mother of a little boy who is boy, as in boys should be, (who doesn't love their local ER?) he spends him time outside playing and smashing ants. Since it's summer and the garden, which keeps my father in law sane (and if you met his wife, you'd have a garden that kept you outside too) is in full bloom, my son is quite frankly his papa's left butt cheek. Instead of going inside to pee, he whips it out and goes in the garden. I must say, that if the world was my urinal, I'd likely go in the garden too. My husbands mother has a cow when he does this because she's sure it's gonna kill the plants. So, question is - as the mother of boys, who may have a garden or in-laws that have a garden, have you ever known little boy pee to kill precious and coveted tomato plants? I am fully aware that you asked about etsy, but truth be told, I've only ever shopped there once and I cannot for the life of me remember what it was, Something like Sweet Twee Laboratory. I'll read other posts and pilfer good etsy joints to spend my husbands hard earned money.

How fun, a giveaway! I wish I had a suggestion for you, but I don't shop specific brands very often. I'm kind-of eclectic - I buy the discount bags of misfit ribbon, hunt down clearance racks, find ways to use leftover fabric, etc. Four kids plus a missions salary equals a tight budget for scrapping! But there is always a way to feed the obsession! LOL

Wow! Can I come sb with you so I can use some of your punches! How fun! That is so sweet of you to 'share' with your readers! I have been following your craftiness for a while now and I just love your style! It's so 'farm fresh'! I hope that doesn't offend you...I say that with the most envy I can muster up...I so want to live on a farm, even just a small one, maybe 5, 10 acres...places for my kids to run and be creative!
My suggestions for scrappy stuff would be Jenni Bowlins' kits...all of them! I love her products! Have a wonderful time organizing your scrappy stuff!

I have to say that Prima's new canvas line by DOnna Downey is my fav right now!!! You can do so much with it. I also love Primas flowers and anything by Jenni Bowlin!!! Teresa Collins and Tim Holtz also have some really cool stuff!!! Heck I love it all too! You ought to see my scrap room but I am not as brave as you are!! LOL!!

Oh my...so many punches! I'd love some of your stash! I can't help you with any suggestions as I haven't purchased any scrapbook stuff in awhile.

I absolutely will take some of those extras off your hands! I am especially loving my Martha Stewart butterfly punches right now (I have the single and the three in one) and also my distress stickles in the white-ish color (don't have it in front of me).

Ok. So I shop locally at The Scrap Nook b/c I live in Nixa :) And I'm sure you know what Sheri has for sale! But my fav thing to do lately is scour thrift shops for fun little tid bits to throw on my pages and make them a bit funky & unique. My fav place to go is Thrift Haven in spfd! They are so nice and I usually walk away only spending a buck or 2, but with some new MUST HAVE find! And the $ goes to a local Children's home so that makes it all the more sweet.
So throw some of extra goodness my way! I could meet you and you wouldn't even have to pay shipping ;)I should share I pic of my scrap space..looks WAY more horrendous. Dare I?

I know the feeling - right now I am crafting on the floor of my living room because I can't get onto the desk of my craft room! But I am sure that receiving some of your lovely goodies would be just the incentive I need to clean it all up - promise! Donna W
